Friends Dustin Jefferson Onghanseng and Brian Lin, both have chronic breathing conditions (rhinitis and asthma, respectively), and they both share a passion for health and sustainability. It wasn’t until they entered a 24-hour hackathon, that they decided to build their first Indoor Air Quality Sensor. They won the hackathon and turned it into a startup company. Named uHoo, it’s a sensor that constantly checks the quality of the air wherever you place it.There’s also an app that sends you an alert about any concerns in your home or office, once the sensor detects them. When you get an alert, you can open the message and see further details and take any action, if needed, based on the suggestions it gives you.
