Casio continues to surprise the world of timepieces with their high-end, high-functionality releases. Their newest bit, the G-Shock Gulfmaster GWN-Q1000 is an all-new model and the first G-Shock ever to feature what is known as a Quad Sensor. A sea-worthy specimen indeed, the Gulfmaster looks to make serious waves in the G-Shock community.

Specifically, the G-Shock’s Quad Sensor includes an altimeter, barometer, compass, and thermometer. It also features a depth gauge and an environmental sensor designed to track ocean conditions as relayed by the Coast Guard. Of course, the Gulfmaster also hosts built-in tide graph complete with moon data as well as sunrise and sunset data, making it one of the most functional marine watches in recent memory. It’s available in either a black or white resin case and carbon fiber reinforcement with sapphire crystal and a blue bezel. The watch is also shock resistant, boasts 200-meter water resistance and a Tough Solar power system to keep things running smoothly for up to two continuous years without charging. It’s set for release in Japan this month for the equivalent of $988.
