The Field Notes brand, brainchild of legendary designer Aaron Draplin of Draplin Design Co. and Jim Coudal of Coudal Partners, has a long history of developing and offering for sale some of the coolest pocket sized notebooks out there, especially when it comes to their limited quarterly releases. And, wouldn’t you know it, it’s that time again. Their newest offering is called the Lunacy Edition.

Created to highlight the phases of the moon (specifically a full, half, and crescent moon), each 3-pack of notebooks feature die-cut and embossed Neenah Classic Crest “Epic Black Stipple” covers with a 4-color print of our celestial satellite beneath. The insides feature 48 of the Field Notes signature reticle grid pages on “Moon Dust” gray pages, as well as some facts and folklore about the moon itself – including a guide on how to avoid becoming a werewolf. And, like all of their products, these notebooks are printed and manufactured right here in the United States. Check out the behind the scenes video below, and get your own pack for just $13.
