Frauscher adds 909 Benaco S to its range of sporty motor yachts

Monday, May 2nd, 2011

Gorgeous, speedy and sporty are some of the adjectives we can use to describe the range of yachts of varying character from Frauscher. The latest addition to their line of motor yachts is the F 909 Benaco S, which is sure a congenial alternative for a sporting driving pleasure. Its elder sibling, the 909 Benaco, is striking in every way, be it the performance, generous space, first-class design or the fittings.

The F 909 Benaco comes equipped with twin engines and classic shaft propulsion, tailor-made with stable driving characteristics for unobtrusive handling. The new F 909 Benaco S is born out of the market demand for a smarter and sportive alternative with a single-engine Z-drive. The F 909 Benaco S hits a top speed of 40 knots with its 380hp Mercruiser engine.

Driving dynamics change with this configuration to a reduced curve radius for more sportiness and maneuverability. Another advantage is the increased operating range. The yacht also has a new generous bathing stage. The F 909 Benaco S is available from €185,400 ($274,000).

Mauro Lecci Lamborghini Yacht

Monday, February 14th, 2011

File this one in the “if you have to ask…” category. The Mauro Lecci Lamborghini Yacht began as a dream but has become a ridiculously rich reality. Powered by dual high-performance engines and employing Kevlar/carbon construction to keep the weight low, the design is inspired by Lamborghini’s legendary rides, offering large windows that recall the air vents of the cars, a pair of rear decks, a large forward deck, a double sofa bed, bar, and entertainment center in the cockpit, a bed and bath with separate shower for the owner, and another for guests.

Monday, November 1st, 2010

One of the many breathtaking superyacht designs to be unveiled at this year’s Monaco Boat Show was that of the Beluga superyacht. And folks who were mesmerized by the yacht’s design can actually now look forward to owning it as its designers are in talks with a major Dutch yacht manufacturer to produce the vessel which is actually for sale. The unique boat which draws its design inspiration from Pinnochio and Moby Dick was created by Puresang. A high end creation, its two living levels are connected by glass staircases. Boasting of a whisky bar, library, a green house that has real palm trees and a small vegetable garden, and a sunroof that opens like the mouth of a whale, this yacht is truly a design masterpiece.

Designer Marc Newson has designed a new speedboat for Italian brand Riva as a new innovative reinterpretation of the Aquariva speedboat. The Riva Aquariva has been designed carefully to incorporate anodized aluminium while featuring a textile based laminate with a strong appearance of wood. The durable wood enables the covering deck area to have a more traditional mahogany and a classic look while keeping the Riva signature style. A laminated glass windshield separates the driver and passenger seat and the handles and hooks disappear when they are not in use making the Riva Aquariva a truly luxurious phenomenon. There will be twenty two models exclusively available through private order.
