Since its inception, Snapchat has been very keen about getting the community involved. From features like Discover, which allows users to consume news from the most pertinent media channels around the world, to publicly nurturing brand advocates like DJ Khaled, the Snapchat MO is all about inclusion. The social media platform’s latest feature bolsters this intent by letting users create and publish their own Geofilters. Designs can be conceived through any image editor and, once complete, users will cordon off an area in which they’d like their filter to appear by drawing a geofence.
On-Demand Geofilters are applicable for an hour or up to thirty days, with rates starting at $5 USD depending on duration and scope.
